wow. I had to take a breath when he finished, too. But maybe it takes someone getting angry before the politicians will listen to the average American. I know I am tired of going to the only drive-up ATM near my office in Fairfax county, just to have the dayworkers say rude things to me as I drive past them milling around at the 7-11 or the Super Mercado next to the bank. If they were here legally, they could apply to other jobs instead of standing there day-after-day waiting for someone to risk their business to hire them for a day or two of work.
Thanks, Colleen! My own experience is just going to places in general. The men will just stare at me, and it makes me extremely uncomfortable. It's considered "acceptable" where they came from, but the last time I checked, we don't do that here.

Soldiers, no poor sap ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by being all that he can be. Damn the torpedoes, or give me death! Eternal vigilance is the price of duty. And, to the victors go the spoils. So remember: you are the best of the best of the few and the proud. So ask not what your country can do for you, only regret that you have but one life to live! The war against the Gorgonites will be won! Commando Elite, let the first shot be fired! Search out the Gorgonites and frag 'em all! -Major Chip Hazard
I am a collegiate, part-Jewish, pro-gun, anti-illegal alien, pro-environment, anti-gay marriage, watered-down Catholic native of Panama. From 1990 and beyond, I've lived in this area; I can remember when gas cost $1.16 a gallon, the average home price was $150K and the War on Terror was a little more than a decade away. My interest in local politics began in November 2003. Meeting people with common goals and the thrill of election night victories had me hooked ever since. As of June 2007, I can vote and run for elective office. "Thorn in the side" puts it mildly for some. I live for the quest of Justice. It goes without saying: "Knowledge TRULY is Power".
